50 years ago, as the McPherson “May Day” (All School’s Day) parade was ending, my new bride and I decided to take a spur of the moment honeymoon!
After all, I was leaving for the army in a week; it just seemed the thing to do.
So we gathered the few things needed and headed off to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We had a great time creating memories that endure to this day.
In another spur of the moment decision, we revisited our steps earlier this month and took a quick trip to Eureka Springs.
Here are some photos I took as well as short video I made from that visit. It starts with me walking on a trail around Black Bass Lake, then there is a series of still photos from the lake and downtown Eureka Springs.
If I hadn’t known from the intro that this was Arkansas, I’d have bet that this little town was in New England somewhere from the style of architecture!
