I had a chance to ride my bike along the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Trail in Aurora, Colorado. Though it was threatening rain when I started it ended up being so nice I wound up riding to the end of the trail before turning around.
Nice ride,13 miles, ending at 235 miles total for June, highest since last August’s 250. The view varied, from the forested Salt Creek, grassy soccer fields, the back side of light industrial sites and including freeway underpasses. Along the way there were lots of spots for quiet contemplation. The trail surface was mostly hard packed small gravel, with stretches of concrete. There were a few other folks both riding and walking and a bunch of rabbits, plus at one spot there was a prairie dog village.
