It was so hot and miserable today, and windy to boot, that I had mostly decided to pass on riding my bike.
Then a storm blew in, and while it was still hot, the cloud cover and greatly reduced wind induced me to take off.
I’m glad I did! Besides the natural joy of riding, I saw an awesome storm approaching Lindsborg as I rode south, down the Meadowlark Trail.
I stopped at the river bridge to take the first shot then was quickly on my way, hoping to beat the rain.
I turned around at the first trail bridge, and that’s where the 2nd picture was taken. The next two panorama shots were taken about half-way between the bridge and the road.
The final shot is from the Smoky Hill River overlook, about 1/2 mile south of town on the trail.
The wind came up strongly from the west as I hit town, and it was spitting rain the last two blocks of my ride.
